“grief needs an outlet. creativity offers one. some psychiatrists see mourning and creativity as the perfect marriage, the thought processes of one neatly complementing the other." — hope edelman

our creative grief space is open to people of the global majority (Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour who make up most of the world’s population). we acknowledge that grief can be a complex and difficult experience, especially for members of the queer and trans community who face unique challenges and forms of discrimination.

we are here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to process your emotions and find comfort in the company of others who understand. whether you are processing death related or disenfranchised grief from familial, societal, physical losses, you are not alone, and we are honoured to have you here with us.

each month focuses on a different aspect of the grieving process, including recognizing disenfranchised grief, self-care, and the power of ritual. participants will engage in a range of creative activities to support their emotional wellbeing and promote healing.
